After the announcement of Huawei's GPU Turbo, slides from mydrivers have appeared indicating that the first Huawei smartphone to get the GPU boosting technology may be the Huawei Mate 10 series on top of other updates. As a refresher, GPU Turbo increases the efficiency of the GPU coupled together with EMUI to help make the overall device 60% more efficient and reduce power consumption by up to 30% as well.

During mid-May, Huawei Malaysia announced that there was a 6% cash-back until 31 May 2018. Many speculated that the Huawei products will still have their price reduced after the promo and guess what? It turns out to be true, starting from 1 June 2018, selected Huawei devices prices will be updated without GST involved.

Originally priced at RRP (Recommended Retail Price) of RM2699, the Huawei P20 is now going  for RM1999 selling on Lazada Malaysia. This is not an official price cut but a deal spotted by us and it comes with 1 year local manufacturer warranty plus it's entitled for 14 days easy return sevices. Launched on 12 April 2018, Huawei Consumer Business Group announced that the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro has racked up more than RMB100 million (~RM61.8 million) in sales within 10 seconds through Huawei's very own VMall.

With the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro out in the market right now, local telco companies are offering the devices for well below the market price bundled along with their data plans. A leaked brochure has appeared in Malaysia indicating that the Huawei P20 Pro in the colour-changing Twilight colour option will be arriving on 26 April 2018. The brochure also shows the Maxis icon indicating that the Twilight P20 Pro will be coming under Maxis but it is also an indication that Twilight will also be available elsewhere.
