Forbes Most Valuable Brands 2017 list selects 100 of the world's most valuable brands and Huawei recently ranked 88 with a brand value of $7.3 billion. It is the only Chinese brand in the list with achievements mentioned including more than 10 million Huawei P9/P9 Plus sold, and collaborations with Pantone, Saatchi and more.

For those who don’t know yet, Huawei’s own OS based on Android, EMUI 5.0 is now available on five more Huawei devices. The devices are the Huawei P9, P9 Plus , P9 Lite ,  Mate 8 and Nova Plus.  Updates can be found via settings and downloaded Over-the-Air (OTA) now.

With National Day right around the corner, Huawei Malaysia partnered with Mini Owner Club Malaysia , Leica Malaysia, and Auto Bavaria MINI to host the “Mini, Monochrome, Makan, Malacca” Treasure Hunt 2016. Over 100 members from the Mini Owners Club Malaysia were taken on a road trip to Melaka to capture the many unique aspects that embodies the story of Malaysia by using Huawei P9; from art and culture, to food and sports - anything at all during a walkabout around Jonker Street.

With both Merdeka and Malaysia Day celebration just around the corner, Huawei Malaysia will be running a special promotion - #WeiTo Malaysia Day Celebration for their faithful customers. On Sunday, Huawei and Leica Malaysia started their first of 3 cameraphone photography workshops with Aqmal Hadi Shapee and monochrome photography. With more than 10 years doing professional Black and White photography he offered workshop participants important clues on how to improve their shots in monochrome especially with the monochrome mode on the Huawei P9 and P9 Plus.

Today, Huawei and LEICA Malaysia has announced that they will be hosting a series of mobile photography workshops for all of its Huawei P9 and P9 Plus users. The purpose of the workshops is to make professional photography accessible to each of its users.

Last month, we praised the Huawei P9 for being one of the best camera-centric phones in the current market thanks to its dual rear Leica camera module and nifty camera features. The contest is based on a series of themes that celebrates the uniqueness of Malaysia culture, the most creative and original submission of the weekly theme will win a Huawei Smart Watch worth RM1799! Huawei Malaysia will also be shortlisting top ten weekly finalists who will then be in the running for the grand prize of a LEICA T-SERIES worth RM17000.

Couple weeks ago, Huawei Malaysia has finally revealed and confirmed the price and release date for the Huawei P9 Plus, the device will be available for RM2599.
