    It's been a month now since the Huawei P9 and P9 Plus was unveiled to the world, the latest Huawei flagships are the results of the first collaboration between Huawei and the global iconic camera brand Leica back in February. Not only that, the P9 lite also made an appearance in Bali, Indonesia, however it lacks the dual rear Leica camera and is set as an affordable option for the series. The P9 series will be available in Malaysia after the end of May, but prices are yet to be announced and there are no plans for P9 Max for Southeast Asia.

    We might be able to see a new Huawei Mate 9 at the end of this year, according to analyst Pan Jiutang. According to him, the Huawei Mate 9 will be using a newly designed chipset by Huawei, the Kirin 960. The chipset is produced using the 16nm process, and the CPU will include the next generation Artemis cores along with an octa-core GPU. It will also support 4G LTE Cat.12 connectivity and CDMA networks.

    The new Huawei honor V8 announcement is not far away, in fact, it will be officially announced on 10 May 2016. Rumours and leaks regarding the phone keep on surfacing though, this time it was spotted on China's TENAA with three variants of the phone, namely the KNT-AL10, KNT-TL10, and KNT-AL20. Probably in standard, plus and enhanced editions.

    There is only about two weeks left before the official release of Honor V8, which is rumoured to happen on 10 May 2016. Just like the Huawei P9, the V8 may also feature a two-lens camera, but without the co-engineered with LEICA part. Nevertheless, according to some new reports online, the Honor V8 will be using a device codename "Knight", and it is expected to house a 5.5-inch FHD display, a Kirin 950 chipset, 4GB of RAM, 8MP front camera, a USB Type-C port and 3000mAh battery. Furthermore, the Honor V8 is assumed to be priced around 2000 Yuan which is about RM1202.

    Huawei teased us with a new a pair of identical rings light up to form the number 8, before projecting the letter 'V' up into the top half of the leaked poster. So It’s likely to be called the Honor V8 as it is clearly similar to the previous Huawei P9 teasers before its launch at the beginning of this month. This suggests that the Honor V8 will also have a dual camera setup but it won't be LEICA-certified like the P9. According to the leaked event teaser, we should be expecting Huawei to announce the new device on 10 May 2016.
