Huawei to offer online trade-in service in Malaysia

Ever thought of how to get rid of your old smartphone? Well Huawei is here to help. Huawei Technologies Malaysia has just become the first smartphone manufacturer in Malaysia to offer an online trade-in. The trade-in service can be done officially from the company's online retail portal, Vmall.my

“The digital era, with its many benefits, does result in e-waste. If not managed well, it can be significantly harmful to the environment. At Huawei, we believe that it is critical to pave the way for environmental sustainability together with business growth and product development. And the road to sustainability needs to be one that consumers can choose it easily. That is what we are trying to achieve through our online trade in service on Vmall.my. We hope that the move will also raise general awareness about e-waste management by providing consumers an effective channel of e-waste disposal,” said Mr Zhu Yonggang, Country Director of Consumer Business Group (MRO).

Nothing really, except that they have recently announced their partnership to develop the next generation of electronic devices based on graphene in the future. What is a graphene you ask? Graphene is the thinnest and most conductive material in the world. In just an atom thick form of graphite, the possibilities  are endless and it has the potential to revolutionize the ICT sector.
