Huawei Consumer Business Group and Leica Camera AG have announced a strategic long-term partnership to reinvent smartphone photography. Both are leaders in their respective fields but there are no specific details about any upcoming Huawei-Leica cameraphones just yet. The partnership will include research and development, design, co-engineering, user experience, marketing and retail distribution. Recently Huawei announced a new next-gen quick charging technology using lithium-ion batteries – one with 600 mAh  capacity that can be charged to 68% capacity in just 2 minutes; and another with a 3000 mAh capacity and an energy density above 620 Wh/L, which can be charged to 48% capacity in 5 minutes. The second quick charging allows 10 hours of phone calls on Huawei mobile phones.
