2016 was an interesting year for smartphones, the year Huawei introduced their dual Leica camera lens P9 phone, along with Samsung’s critically acclaimed Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, also not forgetting Apple’s “courage” to remove the headphone jack on the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus entirely. This year is another round of exciting devices, so here are the 7 smartphones that we are looking forward to in Malaysia this year (in no particular order).

Today’s latest Huawei rumours is yet again about the P10 and also a possible P10 lite just like its predecessor, but first; rumours about the P10 is that the price tag is not that economically affordable, as it could be the most expensive P-series device that the company made.

According to reliable sources, EMU 5.0, Huawei and Honor's Android-based operating system will be coming soon. One of the major features it will apparently be bringing to compatible Huawei and Honor devices is machine-learning to avoid your device from "aging". Previously launched with the Huawei Mate 9, our source says that that particular feature will be available to devices from the Huawei P9 and Honor 8 onwards.

Huawei Malaysia's Trade-Up Campaign just made it a lot easier for you to purchase the new Huawei Mate 9, P9, P9 Plus or the MediaPad M3. Valid up until 31 January 2016, you can now trade-in your smartphone for an RM100 to RM1600 discount. Just bring in your working smartphone (must be one of those listed below) to an authorized Huawei dealer to be assessed based on your old device's condition and specifications.  Huawei will also throw in a free 32GB microSD card!
