Speaking at the Dewan Rakyat, Deputy Home Minister Datuk Seri Dr Shamsul Anuar Nasarah revealed that currently, visitors from 60 countries can now use the facilities for Immigration clearance into our country.

    Foreigners entering Malaysia may soon be able to scan a QR code to go through immigration

    The Immigration Department (JIM) today announced that the department, alongside the Home Ministry (KDN) is exploring the implementation of a QR code system at several main entry points in Malaysia. The system is meant to address congestion issues at the border.

  • The automated entry system (autogate) at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) will soon be extended to non-Malaysian citizens thus reducing the queues at the airport’s immigration counter. Announced by the Immigration Department director-general Datuk Seri Khairul Dzaimee Daud yesterday, the implementation will begin in next month.
