Today, Instagram just announced a new monetisation feature which is simply known as Instagram Subscriptions. Since the company is under Meta, the subscription model is very similar to Facebook's for content creators to engage with their followers with exclusive content and benefits.

While surfing on your social media apps can be relaxing, it can also be tiring due to the kind of content you like to see online. Just a few hours ago, Adam Mosseri (Instagram CEO) just announced that the Instagram team will be testing out a new "Take a Break" feature.

An Instagram for kids? Yup, at least that's the idea for now according to Instagram Vice President, Vishal Shah. The company is planning to develop an app version for those who are under the age of 13 and it's now on the priority list. In case you didn't know, the current app version doesn't allow children under the age of 13 to use it.

Have you ever accidentally deleted a post on your Instagram account and wished you could undo that? Well, there's a new update for the app now and you can now restore your recently deleted posts. This includes photos, videos, reels, stories and even IGTV.

If you have a sharp eye, you would notice that the IGTV icon has disappeared on your Instagram main menu. First introduced about two years ago as a new platform for video content creators, but it looks like nobody really cares and this is not a mistake. In fact, it seems that only 1% of users actually tap on the IGTV button on the main user interface.

Instagram is hiding likes globally! Starting from Thursday onward, the company announced hiding likes will only be extended in the US as a testing period last week but yesterday, users globally had experienced it. That's not to say everyone, but only some who are randomly selected. In fact, it could be you!

Don’t freak out, Instagram is currently hiding Instagram likes for users in Australia as a test. For those of you not following, the number of “likes” for an instagram photo can usually be seen under a photo. Now it is no longer possible for Australian users to see their own and others’ “likes” on photos.
