Intel Core i7 Extreme Edition officially announced for 4K gaming and 4K video or VR content creation

Intel announced their most powerful desktop processor yet with the Intel Core i7 Extreme Edition processors. Taking the top spot from Intel's current unlocked 'K' processors, these new "X" processors include the Intel 6950X / 6900K / 6850K / 6800K with up to 10 processors (8-core and 6-core options are also available) running off of an LGA 2011-v3 socket and 14nm fabrication processes.
