Intel today revealed its most ambitious architectural leap yet: the Intel Core Ultra series 3, codenamed Panther Lake — the first-ever AI-enabled PC platform built on Intel 18A, the company’s most advanced semiconductor process to date. The launch marks a major milestone in client computing, integrating cutting-edge performance, power efficiency, and AI acceleration into a single platform.

In yet another unfortunate piece of news, Intel has confirmed plans to reduce its core workforce from around 99500 to approximately 75000 employees by the end of 2025. That's roughly a 15?% cut under a sweeping restructuring spearheaded by CEO Lip?Bu Tan.

On Wednesday, Intel announced a new CEO, which will be in effect on 18 March 2025. The newest member is former board member and chip industry veteran Lip-Bu Tan. He was one of Intel's board members last year.

During the Intel Innovation event, Intel not only unveiled the latest 13th Gen Intel Core processors but as well as a new Intel Unison. Intel Unison is a software solution that seamlessly connects your PC and devices for a universal, easy-to-use experience across operating systems.

Today at Intel Innovation, Intel revealed the 13th Gen Intel Core processor family. Led by the 13th Gen Intel Core i9-13900K, it includes six new unlocked desktop processors with up to 24 cores and 32 threads and blazing clock speeds up to 5.8 GHz for the best gaming, streaming and recording experience.

On day 1 of the Intel Vision 2022, Intel announced seven new mobile processors to the 12th Gen Intel Core mobile family. Now available in Core i5, Core i7 and Core i9 models, the 12th Gen Intel Core HX processor was designed to deliver high levels of performance for professional workflows like CAD, animation and visual effects. 

A few hours ago, Intel unveiled its latest 12th Gen Intel Core processor at the Intel Innovation event. There are also six new unlocked desktop processors, including a new gaming 12th Gen Intel Core i9-12900K processor with a max turbo boost of up to 5.2GHz and as many as 16 cores and 24 threads. 

Today, Intel have announced a new Thunderbolt 4 as the next-gen universal cable. For those who are new to this, the Thunderbolt series is generally known for delivering fast transfer speeds with the most minimum performance requirements.

In a news release from Intel, the company announced that it will be partnering with mobile chipmaker MediaTek to bring 5G capabilities to laptops. Intel will be in charge of defining the solution specifications, while MediaTek will be developing the 5G modem.

Looks like Huawei laptops will continue to work smoothly for users as both Microsoft and Intel confirm that they will be continuing their updates and support for the Chinese manufacturer. Both companies will be providing security updates for Huawei’s devices that come with Windows 10 and Intel processors.
