U Mobile recently announced that it is implementing 5G in-building coverage at 6 major transport hubs in Malaysia with the support of EDOTCO, covering entire floors and terminal facilities without relying on hotspots. These include KLIA Terminals 1 and 2, Kota Kinabalu International Airport, Langkawi International Airport, Penang Sentral and Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS). More details here.

The Home Ministry, in a statement today, encouraged tourists from six ASEAN countries and Timor Leste to use the autogate facilities at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Terminals 1 and 2. The ASEAN countries include Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, the Philippines and Vietnam.

The Ministry of Home Affairs (KDN) has announced that the Immigration Department (JIM) will be adding more autogates at KLIA Terminal 1, KLIA Terminal 2 and Penang Airport. Its Minister, Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution asserted that the move was meant to overcome congestion at Malaysia’s entry points.
