With MWC2017 drawing closer, yet another teaser for the upcoming LG G6 surfaced. The most recent teaser had a blue hue, with the words, “Resist More. Under Pressure.” With the blue hue and its accompanying caption, it’s hard to ignore the fact this is a teaser for possible water resistance capabilities of the LG G6 as it had often been rumoured that it’ll have IP68 certification.

It had also been revealed that the LG G6 will ship with a battery capacity of more than 3200 mAh, one of the biggest batteries ever to ship with the LG G-series.

A photo, allegedly that of the final retail model of the LG G6 leaked online recently. The back of the phone had an obvious "G6" label, and features a shiny black back, indicating possibly a glass build, or even a Jet Black finish. The rear fingerprint scanner and dual-camera setup looks strikingly similar to the ones seen on the LG V20 as well as last year's LG G5.

We have talked about the upcoming LG G6 here, especially the news that it is going to use a new display ratio of 18:9, or 2:1 if you are inclined that way. Now we have a sneak peek of the LG G6, and it looks like a pretty little thing.

The standard ratio for smartphones has always been the 16:9 ratio for the past few years. Even as the screen goes larger and the resolution goes higher – the ratio still stays the same. LG however may be going a different route, as they are said to be using a new screen of their LG G6, which has a 18:9 screen resolution.

If we are to say anything about LG – they need to catch up with the rest of the market in terms of marketing their product. The first step is to create a new flagship product that is exciting – but from a leaked render online, it may be more of the same old thing.

The LG G5 smartphone was received moderately well across the world, but we feel that LG should step up a bit with their marketing with their phones in the upcoming year. We hope the LG G6 will be the phone that changes everything, as it is said to feature a different design, in line with many flagships out there.

A new report states that next year’s LG G6 will be sans Friends, or what LG call their modular products. This revelation is not surprising,  as the modular market has been small and niche since the beginning.
