Google Nexus 5 could have been called Google Nexus G by LG

Traditionally, most Nexus products and devices usually don't get named according to their brand makers and often times they are either called the Google Nexus 4 only. This has always been the official stance except for when Samsung did the Nexus S. Recent reports in Korea have highlighted the fact that if LG had their way, they'd have named the recent Google Nexus 5 the Nexus G. While it isn't a big secret that LG did make the recent Google Nexus 5 device, Google said no, perhaps to avoid confusion with other similarly named Google products like the Motorola Moto G. LG is well known for their G series of devices like the LG G2, LG G Flex, LG G Pad and many other LG G products.

    DiGi Offering "Google" Smartphones Contract-Free

If you were wishing for a Samsung Galaxy S4, LG Nexus 4, Sony Xperia Z or HTC One without any contract but still at a subsidized price, then DiGi is the first telco to offer this type of deal. Covering four of the major smartphones in Malaysia, another thing setting them apart is that they all offer Google Edition versions although, we're pretty sure you won't get the Google Edition if you buy any of them except for the LG Nexus 4. While you won't be contracted for 12 or 24 months you will be signed on with a DG SmartPlan 58 but you can terminate the plan anytime without any early termination fee. In addition to this you will also get two months monthly fee waived. For more details on pricing check out the table below:

LG Confirms White Nexus 4, No More Nexus and Tablet in Q1

The current Nexus smartphone, the LG Nexus 4 was originally available just in black. However, LG are now offering it in white as well. Tech specs for the White LG Nexus 4 are still the same as the old black one, which isn't bad since you still get a high-end smartphone but the only difference with the White Nexus 4 is its colour. It should be available already but it would likely go for a slightly higher price than the original black one. While on that topic, LG have confirmed that they have no plans for another Nexus smartphone, squashing earlier rumours about an LG Nexus 5 smartphone in the works. LG have not ruled out working with Google again though.
