    LG Optimus G2 Images and Video Appear

    LG's upcoming smartphone, the LG Optimus G2 has recently appeared in a number of images and a video. It looks a lot like the LG Nexus 4 but from the back looks a bit thinner. Tech specs for the LG Optimus G2 include:

    • 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800
    • 2GB RAM
    • 5.2-inch (1080p)
    • 13MP rear camera

    LG's Soon H Kwon, Managing Director for LG Indian market was recently quoted:

    "At home (South Korea), we are actually working on our Windows Phone 8 OS powered smartphone.

    He was noted as saying they still hadn't made any decision to release the first Windows Phone LG has ever made. He was also quoted as saying:

    "Android is the major platform globally, given its acceptance and penetration. Although, we believe that Windows will pick up going ahead, as Microsoft is pumping efforts into it."

    While the release date for the LG Optimus G2 has been confirmed already by Won Kim, LG Chief of Mobile, in Q3 of 2013, images regarding how the LG Optimus G2 looked like have not been released... officially. Unofficially, a couple of images have appeared on EvLeaks that may just be the LG Optimus G2. The smartphone with the LG logo on it has some curved glass, very thin bezels and a really big earpiece. Other estimated tech specs for the LG Optimus G2 include the following:

    • Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor
    • 5-inch display
    • 13MP rear camera + 2MP front camera
    • Android 4.2

    LG to release Flexible Screen Smartphone end of   2013

    After Samsung's very interesting video on flexible screens we often forget that other manufacturers such as LG are also working on similar flexible screen technology. While this was shown off by LG at this year's CES 2013 with their curved Flexible OLED panel HDTV and e-paper solutions, recently LG Vice President of Mobile, Yoon Bu-hyun was noted as saying that they are working with LG's Display department to create a smartphone with a flexible OLED screen by the end of the year.
