Today Acer Malaysia has unveiled several new devices such as business-grade desktops for the Acer Veritons, Acer TravelMate which packs productivity and mobility into a single package, and lastly Chromebooks which packs cloud computing goodness into a small package.

ASUS ROG has announced the release of the the ROG Strix SCAR II and ROG Strix Hero II as part of their new ROG Laptop lineup. These laptops have several key features such as a 144Hz IPS-Panel monitor with 3ms GTG response time, HyperCool Pro technology which aids the cooling of the CPU and GPU, HyperStrike Pro keyboard as well as ROG RangeBoost which provides 30% wider Wi-Fi range compared to dual-antenna setup.

Based on the information provided by WinFuture, the Snapdragon 1000 will have a 12W power draw and it will be sized around 20 x 15mm design which allows more room to fit more cores into the chipset. Not only that, the size and additional cores is expected to give the Qualcomm Snapdragon 1000 a significant performance.

Lenovo has introduced the Y730 and Y530 gaming laptops, T730 and T530 gaming PCs, as well as the C730 and C530 cubes to the Lenovo Legion lineup. Starting off the laptop segment, the Lenovo Legion Y730 and Y530 will be shipped with the 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, GTX 1050 Ti GPU, and optional 16GB Corsair DDR4 RAM. Not only that, there’s also an option for the laptop to come equipped with a 144hz IPS display. The Y730 is the first gaming laptop to come equipped with the Dolby Atmos Speaker System with Dolby Sound Radar.

In a move to solve this, Intel VP Paul Otellini was quoted as saying that $200 touchscreen laptops would be coming soon in the next couple of months. Intel Executive VP Dadi Perlmutter was also quoted as saying that these devices would most likely be Android based laptops using Intel Atom processors. For the more resource needy, Perlmutter said that there would also be Android laptops and hybrids using Intel Core processors but range from $399 to $499.
