Maybank announced that some of its main services cannot be accessed temporarily between 11:30 and 11:59 pm on 9 October 2024. The disruption involved services such as Maybank2U online payments, MAE applications, QRPay Biz applications, Maybank Wealth applications, FPX payments, debit card transactions, ATMs and check deposit machines.

As known, the Maybank2u application can no longer be downloaded from the application store starting 30 June 2024. Following the move, Maybank has now announced that the Maybank2u application will be discontinued effective 28 August 2024. Meaning, that the user can no longer access the account or any function on the Maybank2u MY application after it is terminated.

Maybank has now announced that they will introduce a 12-hour cooling-off period, for each increase in the limit of money transfers through the Maybank2U site, effective July 31, 2024. This step is done in an effort to curb online banking fraud, as well as prevent fraud that will try to increase the transaction transfer limit.

Update - The services are stable now, you can now resume your transaction on the website and M2U app
Since this morning, it has been reported that both the M2U mobile app and Maybank website are experiencing service interruptions. This is the second time already since the last one about a few days ago but you can still do your transaction business on the MAE app. Wait...why isn't MAE down?
