The Ministry of Communications and Digital (KKD) has revealed that a total of 170 compounds totalling RM7.47 million have been issued to telco companies and license holders for failing to meet the required service standards. The compounds were issued by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) from 2018 to 2022.

The Ministry of Communications and Digital (KKD) yesterday announced that internet access issues in Malaysia, especially in rural areas would be resolved by June this year. Its Minister, Fahmi Fadzil said that the issues could be resolved almost completely if all telco companies work together, such as sharing telecommunications towers.
