    Rumours: MaxisONE brochure leak shows double the data, unlimited calls and SMS for all plans?

    Leaked brochures of the upcoming MaxisONE plan have appeared showing double the data for each of the MaxisONE Plans from the MaxisONE Plan 98 to the MaxisONE Plan 188. According to the brochure, all plans will have unlimited calls and unlimited SMS to all networks. In addition, there will also be free 5GB of video streaming from iflix, Viu, Eros Now and Hopster for the first four months. The leak comes courtesy of a Maxis reseller but we should know for sure about it today during the official announcement. Stay tuned for more at TechNave.com.

    Maxis is slowly taking more actions now ever since their CEO apologized and promised to bring better upgrades. By now, if you are a Maxis SurfMore50 subscriber, you most probably have received the text telling you that Maxis is planning to increase the monthly data of SurfMore 50 from 2GB to 3GB. If you have not yet received one, you will probably receive one soon before the end of April because that is when this upgrade will begin to take place.

    Maxis CEO Morten speaks out over recent port-out ruckus, apologizes with better upgrades

    Maxis CEO Morten recently spoke out about the recent MaxisOne customized plans offered to customers who were going to port out. Quite obviously, cries of "unfair" were heard in Maxis social media. Morten, Maxis CEO and Dushyan, Head of Consumer Business, Maxis recently upped a video apologizing about this ruckus and the late response on the Maxis Social Media. Apart from the apology, their response to MaxisOne customers include:

    • All existing MaxisOne Plan customers will be getting much higher upgraded quotas next month for the same price
    • For example, MaxisOne 1GB will be upgraded to 5GB and MaxisOne 3GB will be upgraded to 8GB
    • This will also include MaxisOne business users and will be implemented next month with more features (perhaps more movie, music streaming) and upgrades
    • For now, ALL Maxis One customers will be getting an extra 3GB next week for free

    Maxis has made a surprise move by inviting both Digi and Celcom to have a discussion on setting the industry standards for 4G LTE. 23 November 2015 will be the date and Maxis hopes that the three telco giants can have a meaningful meeting to allow them to determine how to measure coverage in various territories. Maxis also claims they only want to provide what’s best for their customers and “have a fair basis for choosing”.
