    Healthcare front liners can get free Hotlink Postpaid 60 access for 3 months

    Today, Maxis just announced a new promotion for the front liners in the healthcare industry. According to their press release, over 86 public and private hospitals across the nation are granted with free access for Hotlink Postpaid 60 plan for three months. Each activated SIM card comes with 10GB data, plus free 10GB for YouTube, and unlimited calls and SMS to all networks.

    This week, there was a rumour going around online about a possible unlimited Hotlink package plan. Today, Maxis have just confirmed with us today that this is indeed true and it's called the Hotlink Prepaid Unlimited plan. As the name suggests, it offers unlimited Internet as well as unlimited network calls from as low as just RM3 per day.

    Before we hit the weekend, Maxis just dropped a silent short announcement on their Maxis app that they will be offering free data to all their customers (postpaid and prepaid). However, there is a catch to this - the free data is mainly for us to stay updated with current COVID-19 news on selected websites.

Called as RE:Collection, it is a data-driven personalised reminiscence app designed to aid elderly Malaysians with dementia that can be downloaded on the Apple and Google Play Store. On top of that, they even showcase a prototype Smart Table (promptly called as UnforgetTABLE, we are not making this up) which is capable of object recognition and brainwave analytics.

    With 5G technology heading our way this year, Maxis has just announced that they have made a new record of achieving 2.96Gbps for single-user peak speeds. This was recorded at two of their trial sites in Subang Jaya recently, where they have been testing 200MHz of the 3.5GHz C-band spectrum.

    Since last November, Maxis and Gamuda signed an agreement in the provision and deployment of network infrastructure and services for twentyfive.7. This time around, both parties did another Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and Maxis is to provide and deploy 5G network infrastructure and services in Gamuda Cove, which will eventually be the first 5G township when it's ready in the country.
