Meizu M1 Note with octa-core MT6752 processor coming to Malaysia soon for RM699

Last year, the Chinese smartphone maker, Meizu unveiled an affordable yet powerful LTE enabled smartphone in the market called the Meizu M1 Note. A few days back, the company teased that the device will soon be available in global markets. Now, Meizu Malaysia has confirmed the launch of the Meizu M1 Note in the country and it will unveil the release date of the device within this week. Unsurprisingly, the M1 Note will retail for RM699 which is slightly higher than the phone's price tag in China. However, the tech specs more than justifies this price. The phone features an octa-core 64-bit MT6752 processor with 2GB RAM and 16GB / 32GB storage options. There will be a large 5.5-inch full HD 1080p display at the front with Corning's Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The rear camera will be of 13MP with dual LED dual tone flash and the front shooter will be of 5MP.The Meizu M1 Note will support dual SIM cards with LTE connectivity. It will come with a 3140 mAh battery at the back. Meizu Malaysia also adds that there will be several places in Malaysia for customers to check out the devices before purchase.

  • Meizu M1 Note coming to Malaysia soon?

Meizu M1 Note coming to Malaysia soon?

While it is already available through third-party sellers like SatuGadgetDotCom and DirectD, the Meizu M1 Note could soon be coming to Malaysia officially. This news comes courtesy of Meizu themselves through their MeizuMart web store. While they didn't name Malaysia specifically, they did say that the M1 Note will be available globally soon. They also didn't name the price but we expect it to be from CNY999 (RM592) which is how much it is priced in China. Tech specs for the M1 Note are quite high-end with an octa-core MediaTek MT6752 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, 5.5-inch full HD display, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, 4G LTE and dual SIM support. These features are quite similar to the Honor 4X which is also expected to arrive in Malaysia very soon. Incidentally, the M1 Note is being priced from RM659 so if you'd like to pick up a set earlier, the price difference isn't that big.

  • The Meizu M1 is official with 64-bit MT6732 and 699 Yuan (RM406) price tag

The Meizu M1 is official with 64-bit MT6732 and 699 Yuan (RM406) price tag

After numerous leaks and speculations, the Meizu M1 from the company’s Blue Charm range is finally official. At an official event yesterday, the company unveiled this ultra-affordable device which competes directly with the recently announced Xiaomi Redmi 2 budget smartphone. Like its larger brother, theMeizu M1 Note, this particular device takes its design inspiration from the Apple iPhone 5C. It also brings a lot of new color options like white, green, yellow, pink and two different shades of blue. Tech specs wise, the device comes with a 64-bit 1.5GHz quad-core Mediatek MT6732 processor with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage expandable up to 128GB. The front features a beautiful 5-inch display with 1280 x 768 pixel resolution with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. At the back, there is a 13MP camera with single LED flash and at the front, there is a 5MP shooter. This is much better than the Redmi 2's 8MP + 2MP cameras. The battery is also bigger on the new Meizu phone. It comes with a 2600 mAh battery as compared to the 2200 mAh found on Xiaomi model. Finally, Meizu has priced the new Meizu M1 at just 699 Yuan (RM406) which is the exact same price as the Xiaomi Redmi 2 but there are still no Malaysia release dates or pricing details just yet. Hopefully, Meizu Malaysia brings this one in soon.

  • Meizu VP teases a green Meizu M1 Note Mini on Weibo

Meizu VP teases a green Meizu M1 Note Mini on Weibo

Meizu is all set to announce another device in its Blue Charm range called the Meizu M1 Note Mini on 28 January 2015. Over the past few days, there have been many leaks about the device on the internet and this time, the images of the Note Mini was posted directly by Meizu's Vice President Li Nan on his official weibo page. The image confirms earlier rumors which said that the phone's design will be inspired from the Apple iPhone 5C. It will also come in a number of unique shades much like the Meizu M1 Note in the Blue Charm series. In the picture, interestingly there is a camera alongside the M1 Note mini in the same green shade. The company could be hinting at a new camera lineup, but that's highly unlikely. It may just be to highlight the color shades of the upcoming Meizu device. Several rumors have leaked the tech specs of the device. The phone will most likely feature a 4.7-inch display with a 1280 x 720p HD resolution. There should be a Mediatek MT6732 quad-core processor inside along with 1GB RAM. The M1 Note Mini will reportedly compete directly with the recently announced Xiaomi Redmi 2, so pricing should be around $112 (RM404) but no exact Malaysia release dates just yet.

  • Meizu M1 Note officially announced with 5.5-inch full HD display for CNY999 (RM561)

Meizu M1 Note officially announced with 5.5-inch full HD display for CNY999 (RM561)

Can you imagine a full HD 1080p display smartphone for below RM600? Apparently Meizu can as they recently announced the Meizu M1 Note smartphone with the most notable tech specs and features being a 5.5-inch full HD 1080p display at just CNY999 (RM561). It will be the first smartphone in their new Blue Charm smartphone range and offer a 64-bit 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6752 processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB storage. The aforementioned 5.5-inch display will use an IGZO display with full HD 1080p pixel resolution for a pixel density of 403ppi. Considering that IGZO is supposed to be thinner and lighter, we suppose this does contribute somewhat to the 145g and 75.2 x 150.7 x 8.9mm measurements the smartphone comes with. Other tech specs include a 13MP rear camera using a Samsung sensor, 5MP front camera with 4-element lens, dual SIM support and a 3140 mAh battery. While the M1 Note has a unibody chassis on the outside it uses a mostly polycarbonate (plastic) body that comes in blue, green, pink, yellow and white. Still no news on Malaysia release dates or pricing but hopefully Meizu Malaysia might bring it in soon.
