Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil has revealed that a meeting with Meta has been scheduled for next month in Singapore during his Ministry’s official visit to the Republic. Furthermore, the meeting will also include representatives of other social media platforms.

Previously, we shared how the Communications Ministry and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) held a meeting with Meta and TikTok today. Well, Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil has announced the result of the meeting, which has resulted in both companies pledging commitment to address online safety and monitoring criminal-related content on their platforms.

Previously, the broadcast feature is exclusive to WhatsApp. But that won’t stay for long, Meta is aiming to bring the same feature to Messenger and Facebook soon. That said, what should you know about it?

Facebook and Messenger recently announced the introduction of Community Chats, a feature that allows group organisers to create curated live Messenger chat groups similar to Discord.
