Minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali has revealed that 3,682 illegal websites offering and spreading pirated content, such as popular films and music, have been blocked from 2021 to November 2024. He added that the blocking was carried out by KPDN in collaboration with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) and Internet service providers (ISPs).

The Domestic Trade and Cost of Living MInistry (KPDN) has revealed that the number of public transport and goods vehicles registered under the Bantuan Subsidi MADANI programme (BUDI MADANI) remains unsatisfactory. Its Deputy Minister. Fuziah Salleh said that based on the latest data, only 259,141 out of 410,000 eligible vehicles had applied under the Diesel Subsidy Control System (SKDS) as of 4 August.

Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil has called upon members of the Komuniti MADANI to download the “Price Catcher” app to assist the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) in addressing the issue of sudden price hikes in the country. He added that consumers can easily compare prices through the app and find sudden increases in the prices of certain goods.

The Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) has announced that it’s aiming to introduce a lemon law or amend existing acts related to defective vehicles in March 2025. Its Minister, Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali said that the new law or amendments to existing law is meant to provide a more comprehensive consumer protection framework in line with current demands.
