Today, Google announced that the Nearby Share function is now possible between your Android device and Windows computer. For those who don't know, using Nearby Share allows Android users to share media files, documents and more, so it's great to see it available on Windows. 

Samsung has made file sharing easier by launching a new Good Lock module called Dropship. If you have no idea what Good Lock is, it's actually a Galaxy Store app that allows users to access various customization options such as theming, UI tweaking, and more. Back to Dropship, the new module will enable more seamless file sharing across Android, iOS, and the web by using a data-driven approach.

Google has announced a slew of new features and apps for Chromebook which the tech giant claims can take creativity and productivity to the next level. These include video editing tools in Google Photos, enhanced app capabilities and more.

Different companies lead into the holiday season in different ways, some with discount sales and some with new products. So, what about Google? A Google Play Store sales would have been nice, but it looks like Google is going to bring some new features to Android instead. Six of them, in fact.
