Nokia Lumia 530 hands-on, demo video included

We recently managed to get a brief hands-on with the Nokia Lumia 530 smartphone. Priced at a super affordable RM355, the device packs in impressive tech specs such as a 1.2Ghz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor with a 4.0-inch display featuring an 854 x 480 pixel resolution. Featuring the full Windows Phone 8.1 and Lumia Cyan update, this is currently the most affordable Windows Phone in the market. From what we could see of the device was that despite only having 512MB RAM, the smartphone performed quite smoothly, with no lag. Granted, the Lumia 530 is a bit thick, but it still fits nicely into the palm of your hand. Check out our hands-on pics and the full demo video below:

Rumours: Nokia Lumia 730 (Superman) pics leaked

The rumoured Nokia Superman smartphone has been leaked as the Nokia Lumia 730, successor to the Nokia Lumia 720. On top of that, pictures of the smartphone have recently leaked. Looking to be a slim and narrow smartphone for the midrange, the Lumia 730 should have similar midrange tech specs. These Lumia 730 tech specs could include a 1.2GHZ quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB storage, 4.7-inch display with 720p resolution, 6.5MP rear camera with LED flash and 2000 mAh battery. The leaked pictures don't reveal much else except that it could be running an update to Windows Phone called the Lumia Debian Red but this could be an exclusive skin rather than a full Windows Phone update like the recent Windows Phone Cyan update. No details on Malaysia release dates or pricing just yet but it should be coming soon.

Rumours: Nokia Lumia Superman and Lumia Tesla tech specs appear?

The upcoming Nokia Lumia Superman is rumoured to be coming in August 2014 and may be the company's first selfie-centric smartphone. This would probably mean a 5MP or higher front camera. Other tech specs for the smartphone include a possible 4.7-inch display. Another rumoured Lumia includes the Lumia Tesla which could be a smaller PureView camera packing version of the Lumia 930. Still no news on Malaysia release dates or pricing or a new 41MP PureView Camera refresh, but stay tuned and we'll keep you posted as to any new developments.

Nokia Lumia 530 and Lumia 530 Dual SIM officially announced

After shutting down their non-Windows Phone based entry-level smartphones, Microsoft has just announced the Nokia Lumia 530 and Lumia 530 Dual SIM smartphones for the entry-level market. The Nokia Lumia 530 offers tech specs that include a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor, 512MB RAM, 4GB of storage with up to 128GB microSD support, a 4-inch screen with 480 x 854 pixel resolution, a 5MP rear camera and a 1430 mAh battery. The smartphones will be packing Windows Phone 8.1 right out of the box and support 3G with the Dual SIM version offering the same specs except for an extra SIM slot. We're not sure if it is taking over from the Lumia 525, because honestly speaking, quite a few of it's tech specs are lower-end compared to the Lumia 525. For a complete tech spec comparison check out our Nokia Lumia 525 vs Lumia 530 vs Lumia 530 Dual SIM comparison tool. While there are no specific Malaysia release dates or pricing yet, the Nokia Lumia 530 smartphones are expected to arrive in August 2014 at around $114 (RM361). Nokia Lumia 930 hands-on (video included)

The Nokia Lumia 930 was recently previewed here in Malaysia by Microsoft Devices and TechNave.com were invited. We managed to get some hands-on time with the Nokia Lumia 930 and it certainly feels premium. The 20.7MP camera captures some very nice images and is both fast and reliable. Targeting those premium users wanting to convert over to a Windows Phone 8.1 experience, the Nokia Lumia 930 feels solidly built. According to Steve Chan, Product Marketing Manager, Microsoft Devices, part of the reason for the polycarbonate backside is that it is more comfortable and scratch-proof compared to a metal back casing. While we'll have to agree with that, it doesn't give the same premium look that some other metal chassis smartphones have. In all, we were quite impressed with the new Nokia Lumia 930, but do check out the hands-on pictures and demo video in this article for yourself.

    Nokia Lumia 630 image leaked

The Nokia Moneypenny or Nokia Lumia 630 was recently leaked, showing off a rather different design than the previous Nokia Lumia 620 and Lumia 625. Gone is the dedicated camera key and LED flash but the overall design looks to be thinner. Coming courtesy of @evleaks, it seems safe to assume that this is the real thing but other tech specs and features were not really available. The only thing we do know is that it will have Windows Phone 8.1 and that it may come as soon as April 2014.
