From time to time, we would publish an article comparing all the package plans offered by our four local telcos - Celcom, Digi, Maxis and U Mobile. OPPO has always been one of the chinese manufacturers that dares to experiment new innovations. From rotating cameras to in-display cameras to sound, most of them have yet to be fully commercialised. Today, a new patent filed by OPPO has been spotted recently.

Yesterday we reported that smartphone companies like vivo and Xiaomi started to roll out updates which will increase the RAM size through virtual RAM. Today, OPPO is rolling out a similar new update to selected phone models too which is called RAM+.

Weibo user Digital Chat Station mentioned in a post that OPPO will most likely be unveiling the OPPO Foldable smartphone by the end of June 2021. While not much is known regarding the exact tech specs, exact release date and pricing, it does give us a better idea of what to expect when it is available in the global market.

OPPO Malaysia recently revealed that they will be holding Merdeka Mega Deals in conjunction with the upcoming Merdeka. Happening from 22 August 2020 till 16 September 2020, there will be four weekly lucky draw prizes which include a Coros Apex 42mm, Nintendo Switch, GINTELL DeVano S FUNtastic and Proton X70.

Our government may have extended the conditional movement control order (MCO) to 9 June 2020, but some businesses are now allowed to resume and have been taking advantage of the chance. OPPO Malaysia is the same and has announced that the reopening of brand stores and service centres, which were all closed since 18 March 2020.

5G is hitting Malaysia hard and we have proof for why we said that. Earlier, demonstration projects of 5G have happened in Langkawi, where they were able to use the technology to diagnose patients remotely and increase security at the Langkawi Port. Other than that, there were also different 5G smartphones being brought into Malaysia by different brands. Therefore, we think that OPPO Malaysia is trying to seize the opportunity to promote 5G as well by getting their first 5G device to be certified by SIRIM.
