Have you ever wondered how strong is the Corning Gorilla Glass 6? It's the latest grade to be produced and not so mainstream yet. Moreover, it has appeared on the OnePlus 6T's 6.41-inch AMOLED display. Of course, someone would have the nerve to do some scratch test and YouTuber @JerryRigEverything has already done it.

So the OnePlus 6T is out, there were some rumours here and there but it didn't get enough steamrolling since it has only been around six months that the OnePlus 6 was released in Malaysia in June 2018. According to some sources, it seems that the only colour available is Mirror and Midnight Black but its official online store in Lazada has already put the pre-order live and scheduled to arrive on 8 November 2018 starting from RM2588 (6GB + 128GB).

Mi Han Sdn Bhd (sole distributor of OnePlus in Malaysia) recently reached out to us with some official OnePlus news. Turns out, the OnePlus 6T will be launched globally on 29 October 2018 at 11 am (11pm GMT) in New York City.

Renders of the OnePlus 6T has been leaked courtesy of @OnLeaks's Twitter account and MySmartPrice's youtube channel showcasing the design of the device such as a dual rear camera, Waterdrop notch at the front of the screen and no fingerprint sensor in sight which confirms that the OnePlus 6T will be equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner instead. Not only that, based on the reports, the OnePlus 6T will also be the first officially water resistant smartphone but unfortunately no 3.5mm audio socket.

Based on leaked renders of the OnePlus 6T courtesy of winfuture.de. The upcoming OnePlus 6T will not come equipped with a triple camera setup as we previously thought. The device will come equipped with a large 6.4-inch display with max resolution of up to 1080 x 2340 pixels as well as in-display fingerprint sensor technology.

OnePlus has confirmed that the upcoming OnePlus 6T will come equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor based on a screenshot from OnePlus which shows the lock screen lock screen with a designated area the sensor is placed.

In terms of tech specs, the OnePlus 6T will come equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset and up to 8GB of RAM. Feature wise the device will also come featured with a variable aperture setting which allows the device to change the between f/1.5 and f/2.4.
