With the recent release of OnePlus 3, CEO Pete Lau has something to say about OnePlus X in the future, which is that the model lineup won't be getting a successor. But why the change of heart?

Fans of OnePlus, this is the moment you have been waiting for. The OnePlus 3 is finally official. We have seen how it looks like in previous leaks, and we basically know just about everything on the phone. Still, it is always a good sign when it is officially launched.

We are just two days away from the official OnePlus 3 launch in China, usually when nearing the event companies would try to release more teasers to hype the market. In this case, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau himself has been busy promoting OnePlus 3, especially on the photos he took with the phone highlighting the camera quality.

With OnePlus 3 itching closer until next week, OnePlus seems to be quite confident in their next flagship sales launch by stocking up 1 million devices the next day after the reveal. It seems the company believes in the reputation of the device will continue from OnePlus One and OnePlus 2's excellent camera quality. And over the past few days, we got ourselves some image samples from the smartphone itself from their Twitter page, check them below:

If you haven't heard, OnePlus 3 will make a debut on 15 June 2016 in China. We have also seen a lot of specifications leaked online and by TENAA, so as the render concepts but never the actual device, until now that is.

The OnePlus 3 recently got listed on OppoMart, revealing tech specs like a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, up to 6GB of RAM, a front fingerprint sensor and more for $369 (RM1506). The image that it comes with shows a very HTC One like metal unibody design with just a single LED flash (recent offerings like the Huawei P9 and ASUS ZenFone 3 have double LED flash and triple autofocus) which makes us question its relevancy in today's phone market. No news on Malaysia release dates but the OnePlus 3 is expected to be revealed on 14 June 2016 without any invites required to buy it.

Rumours of OnePlus 3 tech-specs have been circulating around for quite some time now, but thanks to certifications in China and the USA, we are getting the whole picture and just recently a 6GB OnePlus 3 variant just made it to TENAA, completing the rumour of another phone version. Many people out there are waiting anxiously for the upcoming OnePlus 3 to be released officially world wide. We now have some official-looking specs of the upcoming OnePlus flagship. 

As part of an early marketing machine for the upcoming new phone, OnePlus decided to launch the upcoming model OnePlus 3, in virtual reality, at a place called the Loop. In conjunction with this, they announced that they will be giving away free 3D headsets for smartphones, which was snapped up in under a couple of hours.
