Without a doubt, this week was the week where Apple rose to the occasion with their new jet black, waterproof, dual camera Apple iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 7 while the Samsung announced how to replace their recalled Galaxy Note 7 in full disclosure. You can now get the previous gen iPhone 6S Plus, 6S, SE and iPads cheaper than before and Apple also announced their waterproof 2nd-gen Apple Watch Series 2 along with their AirPods.

After its initial launch in China, the Honor 8 has since then been launched in the US and now in Paris for Europe. Featuring the dual rear camera with a colour sensor and monochrome sensor along with a 2.5D glass front and back, the Honor 8 was priced at €399 (RM1814) for the 4GB RAM / 32GB storage version and €499 (RM2269) for the 4GB RAM / 64GB storage version. Both will be available in September for Europe, but with the various launches happening, we can't help but wonder when Malaysia's turn will be.

Last week was filled with a lot of new and official announcements but the most notable one remained Xiaomi's first laptop, the Mi Notebook Air, which for some reason was quickly followed up by another thin notebook computer called the Lenovo Air 13 Pro. Following up on these were the Xiaomi Redmi Pro smartphone with its dual rear camera, while the Android-based Blackberry DTEK50 was also announced. Other notable international announcements include the Samsung Galaxy Tab J for those budget tablet users out there.

Bhd. have confirmed that the OnePlus 3 will be available through them and authorized retailers in Malaysia from 8 August 2016 for RM1888 (inclusive of GST). If you can't wait, the pre-order is available at Lazada until 5 August 2016. No invitations will be needed to purchase the OnePlus 3 here in Malaysia.

So here's some news about the OnePlus 3, it looks like it could get new colours as it was spotted on the OnePlus website but it's no longer there after being taken down. According to the source, OnePlus 3 might be getting a red version which looks nice because it matches with the red and white charging cable.

Not so many big official announcements this week so the rumours were focused on a bit more with the OnePlus 3 not using 100% of its 6GB RAM and its CEO's subsequent response. Other standout rumours include that we may see the honor 8 and honor X3 next month, while a more powerful Xiaomi Mi 5s could be coming soon too. A new U Mobile Hero P98 postpaid plan also made an appearance, reportedly offering 30GB of data at RM98 a month.

It's been barely two weeks and there are already multiple reports of how the customers are perceiving the OnePlus 3, some are good and some are bad, you probably also heard the claim that the 6GB RAM is not fully utilized by the device, not forgetting that it performs slower than Samsung and Apple's latest flagship. To add on to that, a reviewer from AndAndTech noted the 5.5-inch AMOLED display was "the worst display I've ever examined." and a Redditor remarked the reason was because the company was purchasing Samsung panels "on a discount", which prompted OnePlus CEO Carl Pei to reply.
