Google has announced several new features for Google Play aimed at improving how users discover, purchase, and play paid games across both mobile and PC platforms. The updates introduce game trials, cross-platform purchases, and new community features designed to enhance the overall gaming experience.

Looks like Google recently confirmed that they will be shutting down the Google Play Movies & TV app on 15 June 2021 and instead be pushing existing customers to their YouTube apps in order to access their existing movie purchases. But that’s not all, 9to5Google also mentioned that the app will not be accessible on Roku, as well as other smart TV brands such as LG, Samsung, Vizio, and potentially more.

It seems that Yahoo has recently unveiled the Yahoo Lite app which can be downloaded via the Google Play Store starting from today onwards. The difference between the base app compared to the Lite is that the latter only takes up 1MB of space while maintaining the core functionality of the app.

Pos Malaysia has officially unveiled the e-Consignment Note, which allows customers to fill and print out their own consignment notes at Pos Laju outlets or kiosks via their official app. With that said, the e-Consignment will help make parcel sending a much more streamlined and efficient experience for both Pos Laju as well as their customers.

It seems that a bunch of tweets from the user @IronManPS5 has recently surfaced on Twitter, detailing the pricing all of the variants of the PlayStation 5 as well as all the accessories the console supports. While not much is known in regards to the local pricing, the tweet gives us a better understanding of what to expect when the console and accessories are available in Malaysia.

Based on a statement by @PSErebus on Twitter, it seems that the Sony PlayStation 5 is expected to be unveiled on 20 November 2020. While not much is officially known in regards to the exact tech specs of the aforementioned console, we do know that it is expected to be priced at USD499 (~RM2162).

It seems that Forza Street, which was Microsoft’s free-to-play racing game, is now officially available on both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store for free. In addition to that, those who downloaded the game from the Samsung Galaxy Store will be eligible for a 2015 Ford Mustang GT which comes with a Galaxy-themed skin or even more.

Samsung Malaysia has officially announced that you could get up to 26% off discount vouchers via the Samsung Members platform, which is available from now until 30 June 2020. If you are interested, you can claim the aforementioned vouchers via the Samsung Members app which can be downloaded from the Google Play Store.

In conjunction with Gameloft’s 20th anniversary, they will be giving away a pack of 30 games called the Gameloft Classics: 20 Years on the Google Play store for free. Do note that Gameloft did not specify whether the app is only available for a limited time, so be sure to download as soon as possible if you are interested in getting it.
