Usually, big game titles are scheduled at the end of the year and this is very much the case for Sony's PlayStation 5 and Microsoft's Xbox Series X. But while staying at home (including us), people around the world suddenly had the time to play the games they've always wanted. Apart from replaying or catching up games, TIME Magazine have listed their Top 8 Best Video Games of 2020 (So Far) from the PC, Nintendo Switch, PS4 and there's even one on a VR platform.

While Sony has more or less confirmed that a good number of PS4 titles can be played on a PS5. Unfortunately, the reverse won't be possible. The company has hinted that it has PS5 titles won't be playable on the PS4.

Ubisoft has officially announced that Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey is free to play starting from 19 March onwards until 22 March 2020 on platforms such as the PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Not only that but if you’re interested in getting the game for yourself, you can also purchase it at 67% off at the Ubisoft official store.

Consoles giants should make peace and not war, at least that what Microsoft seems to be saying. Game streaming services have begun to appear and Microsoft believes that the new competing platforms are the enemies to be focused on. To that end, Microsoft could be looking to form a unified front with its long-time console competitors - Nintendo and Sony.

If you were hoping to hear more from Sony at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) this year, prepare to be disappointed. Sony will be skipping E3 2020 because the event's direction doesn't fit with the company's plans. Instead, Sony will aim to attend more consumer events this year.

Square Enix’s Final Fantasy Twitter account has recently tweeted that Final Fantasy VIII will be remastered and released onto several platforms such as the PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One as well as PC via Steam. The remastered version of the game will feature enhanced graphics, effects, and HD Textures. 

The argument of which console player is better in PUBG may just be answered in early October. PUBG will be supporting cross-play on the Playstation 4 and Xbox One. So players from both Xbox One and PS4 will be able to match against each other in the 100 player lobby battle royale game.

If you are a fan of the Marvel universe, brace yourself. Marvel has announced that they will be creating a multi-year, multi-game franchise based on the Avengers universe. The company has announced that they have roped in Square Enix, Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal to develop the game universe.
