Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) today announced the launch of cross-border real-time payment systems connectivity between Malaysia and Singapore. This allows for instant person-to-person (P2P) cross-border fund transfers via Malaysia’s DuitNow and Singapore’s PayNow systems.

Utilizing Stripe Connect and Stripe Checkout, you can now pay businesses in WhatsApp chats for Singapore. Previously available in India and Brazil, this is obviously a partnership between Meta and Stripe so Singapore WhatsApp users can pay business using credit cards, debit cards or Singapore’s PayNow.
