    The Pocophone F1 has been wildly popular since its release and even till this day. One drawback about the device though, is is the Poco Launcher which is set in a bright mode which kind of hurts your eyes, especially at night. The latest update for this device brings with it Dark mode (huzzah!).

    The Pocophone F1 could be having a little brother as the Pocophone F1 Lite has been spotted on GeekBench, equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset and 4GB of RAM. The Pocophone F1 last year managed to claim the title as the cheapest smartphone to come equipped with the then top of the line Snapdragon 845 chipset. Could the F1 Lite be aiming for the cheapest device, running on a Snapdragon 660 SoC?

    Starting from 16 November 2018 onwards, Xiaomi will be the first brand in Malaysia to offer e-SIM by Durian Man app starting from a low as RM1. The e-SIM allows the device to function even without a physical SIM. Not only that, it reduces the overall cost needed to manufacture the SIM as well.

    Xiaomi has officially opened their store in Midvalley Megamall on 30 August 2018 as well launched the sale of the Pocophone F1 in Malaysia. Customers lined up as early as 8PM the day before in order to be one of the first to get their hands on the Pocophone F1. Not only that, those who bought the Pocophone F1 will be eligible for a free gift courtesy of Xiaomi. Do take note that only the 6GB RAM 128GB internal storage is available at the store while the 6GB RAM 64GB internal storage version is available exclusively on Lazada.

As for availability, the device will be available in Malaysia starting 30 August 2018 at Xiaomi’s Official Mi Store and Lazada for the price of RM1299 for the 6GB+64GB internal storage and RM1499 for the 6GB+128GB internal storage variant including SST.

    As the POCO F1 by Xiaomi smartphone is due for a reveal in Jakarta today, we spotted the Mi Store in IOI City Mall Putrajaya Facebook page flashing a #flagshipkiller hashtag image of what certainly looks like the POCO F1 Armoured Edition. Featuring a kevlar-based body, the POCO F1 Armoured Edition was recently revealed in India for 29999 INR (~RM1762) with the same Snapdragon 845 chipset, 12MP+5MP AI dual rear camera, 20MP Dual Pixel front camera, infrared face unlock as the normal polycarbonate POCO F1.
