PC handheld gaming consoles with the likes of the ROG Ally series, Lenovo Legion Go and others are a great idea for gamers who want a portable PC gaming device. However, Windows 11 optimisation leaves a lot to be desired. And thankfully, Valve is going to save it with SteamOS.

In case you missed it, ASUS Malaysia just started its new "Gear Up For Class" campaign and will go on for two months. Customers can purchase select laptops as well as the ROG Ally to get some Touch 'n Go eWallet credit rewards and more.

It's been almost a year since the ROG Ally was introduced and just today, ASUS ROG just confirmed that "The Next ROG Ally" will be announced soon. A YouTube video is already scheduled online and will go live tomorrow (10 May) at 3 AM in Malaysia's timezone. 

In case you missed it, ASUS Malaysia is still having the ROG Ally promo bundle. Launched on 16 February 2024, any customer who buys the ROG Ally will get a free ROG Gaming Charging Dock, along with a free AAA game, Ghostrunner II.

It was only recently that ASUS Republic of Gamers released the standard base ROG Ally model in the US market. We were wondering when ASUS Malaysia would make an announcement of the local availability and it didn't take them long. 

When ASUS launched the ROG Ally in Malaysia, it was the Z1 Extreme model and there was no sign of the Z1 version. However, the ROG Ally Z1 variant has just been released in the US market at the price of $600. A quick trip to the official ASUS Malaysia website here will show the official price tag at RM2799. 

For those who are planning to visit the upcoming AniManGaki at MINES International Exhibition & Convention Centre (MIECC), Republic of Gamers (ROG) Malaysia will be participating in the convention as well from 25 - 27 August 2023.

By now, you probably have read a couple of ROG Ally reviews online, and most of them seem to be quite positive. As an avid gamer, I was really excited about the ROG Ally's potential. But after playing it for two weeks, I have mixed feelings and I'm not just talking about the obvious battery drainage problem.
