It's been almost a year since the ROG Ally was introduced and just today, ASUS ROG just confirmed that "The Next ROG Ally" will be announced soon. A YouTube video is already scheduled online and will go live tomorrow (10 May) at 3 AM in Malaysia's timezone. 

In case you missed it, ASUS Malaysia is still having the ROG Ally promo bundle. Launched on 16 February 2024, any customer who buys the ROG Ally will get a free ROG Gaming Charging Dock, along with a free AAA game, Ghostrunner II. 

It was only recently that ASUS Republic of Gamers released the standard base ROG Ally model in the US market. We were wondering when ASUS Malaysia would make an announcement of the local availability and it didn't take them long. 

When ASUS launched the ROG Ally in Malaysia, it was the Z1 Extreme model and there was no sign of the Z1 version. However, the ROG Ally Z1 variant has just been released in the US market at the price of $600. A quick trip to the official ASUS Malaysia website here will show the official price tag at RM2799. 

By now, you probably have read a couple of ROG Ally reviews online, and most of them seem to be quite positive. As an avid gamer, I was really excited about the ROG Ally's potential. But after playing it for two weeks, I have mixed feelings and I'm not just talking about the obvious battery drainage problem. I don't understand why so many other reviews skimmed through the software optimisation issues. 

The ROG Ally has been almost talked to death by this point, so I'll try to keep the design aspect as brief as possible. The ROG Ally became a popular hit amongst fans and Malaysian gamers were seen lining up for the handheld gaming device during the launch. However, it seems that there's an issue with the microSD card reader not being read properly.

As previously teased, the ROG Ally Z1 Extreme model is indeed RM3299. ASUS Malaysia has also officially announced that there's only one variant for the local market and its retail sales will start on 1 July 202 at an upcoming ROG Roadshow, Plaza Lowyat Concourse and ROG Ally authorized dealers nationwide.

Today, ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) did another teaser post about the ROG Ally. In this cryptic post, the company is asking its fans to guess the price of the ROG Ally and some fans may have already guessed it.

As we continue to wait for the ROG Ally launch in Malaysia, ASUS Republic of Gamers just listed an official list of authorised sellers that will sell the handheld gaming device. However, there's still no price tag for it yet as expected. 

In case you missed the announcement late last night, ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) Malaysia has confirmed that the ROG Ally will indeed come to Malaysia. According to the official post on Facebook, the scheduled date will be in July 2023.
