Based on a statement by Redmi executive on weibo, it seems that Redmi could be planning on releasing a “mini” smartphone in the near future. While not much is known in regards to when the smartphone will be available for purchase, the executive did mention that a smaller smartphone will come with a much smaller battery capacity due to the size of the smartphone.

At last night's Apple Event, the tech giant has taken the lead to bring the first 5nm process which is the A14 Bionic chipset to the market. To not be left behind the race, Redmi's General Manager Lu Weibing publicly asked if the consumers are excited about their new products with a 5nm process too. Now, realme's Vice President Xu Qi has voiced out regarding the latest technology as well by hinting that the company is preparing a flagship to come with the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 chipset.

Earlier, it was reported that HONOR will start their gaming series which will be called 'Hunter'. Today, Redmi has also shared with the public that they will be launching their very first gaming laptop on 14 August.

Xiaomi recently unveiled the Redmi AirDots 2 TWS earphones, which sold more than 3 million units in China due to the fact that it’s only priced at RMB79 (~RM48). However, once the crowdfunding campaign is over, the aforementioned earphones will revert back to its retail price of RMB99 (~RM60).

Today, Xiaomi is rumored to be developing a phone with a 144Hz LCD display with MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ chipset after Lu Weibing, president of Xiaomi Group China and general manager of Redmi brand, took the stage during the official launch of the Dimensity 1000 series.

It seems that a Redmi smartphone equipped with the Dimensity 800 chipset has been spotted on TENAA, and it seems to come with 5G support as well as an in-display fingerprint sensor. While not much is known in regards to whether it will be available in Malaysia, we do know that there might be a 4G variant of the device which is presumably much cheaper than the 5G variant.
