Based on a statement by IceUniverse on his weibo account, it seems that Xiaomi might be the first smartphone manufacturer to unveil a smartphone equipped with 150MP image sensor. While not much is known in regards to the exact tech specs of the aforementioned smartphone, we do know that it will most likely be unveiled somewhere around Q4 2020.

Samsung has announced that they will be unveiling their 108MP ISOCELL image sensor, on the 12 August 2019. The new image sensor is capable of producing images up to 12032 x 9024 in resolution, which is substantially more compared to the current industry standard of 64MP sensor. 

XDA-Developers.com spotted a few lines of code found in the upcoming MIUI 10, which hints at the possibility of a future Xiaomi smartphone coming equipped with a 64MP camera sensor. In addition to that, the codes also revealed a functionality which applies a watermark onto the picture that was taken by the smartphone as well.

Based on a recent patent courtesy of patentlymobile.com. Samsung has filed a patent for an under display fingerprint sensor using ultrasonic technology. Based on the patent, the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor is expected to cover the bottom half of the screens which means the user can unlock their device by placing their finger anywhere in the biometric sensor zone as showcased in the image.
