Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime review - Priming up the J7 experience

It wasn't that long ago that the Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) came out a few months ago with RM1049, previously in our review, we felt that for a device in that price range, it's lacking behind other smartphones in terms of overall performance and some missing features such as a fingerprint sensor. Then out of nowhere, the Galaxy J7 Prime was released in Malaysia for RM1199 (inclusive of GST), it was as if Samsung read our minds on what we complained about the former, but is it really any better? That's what we're about to find out.

  • Rumours: Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime coming this month for RM1199?

Rumours: Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime coming this month for RM1199?

Our serial leakster friend Mr. Anonymous recently sent over some interesting information concerning the rumoured Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime. Apparently it may be coming this month for an estimated price of RM1199. Upgraded tech specs over the Galaxy J7 (2016) include 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage but for a more detailed comparison check out our comparison tool.

The most interesting feature remains the fingerprint sensor that the Galaxy J7 Prime may have inside its home button as all of the Galaxy J (2016) phones lack that feature. No exact Malaysia release dates but stay tuned to TechNave.com and we'll keep you updated.

  • OPPO F1s review - Not only a selfie expert, but a fun one

OPPO F1s review - Not only a selfie expert, but a fun one

OPPO has always been known for their good camera quality on their smartphones, just earlier this year, the OPPO F1 made its debut in Vietnam but it was presented as a normal mid-range device. So how does one improve it as the seasons come and go? The answer - prioritize the front camera by pumping it up to 16MP, and introduce the OPPO Plus & F1s to the world as a selfie expert smartphone. We got the F1s model which was released in Malaysia just last month, does it really live up as the selfie expert? Let’s find out.

  • Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) review - A long lasting and basic metal frame smartphone

Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) review - A long lasting and basic metal frame smartphone

It's been two months now since the new Samsung Galaxy J series (2016) was revealed in Malaysia, the three J brothers - Galaxy J1 (2016), Galaxy J5 (2016) and Galaxy J7 (2016) came out with a somewhat affordable price of RM449, RM849 and RM1049 respectively. It was also worth noting that only these three have a free YES 4G LTE prepaid SIM card with 2 months of 30GB of data, so it was quite exclusive then. We have already done the Galaxy J1 (2016) review, so today, we will be reviewing the Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016). How does it hold up after two months? Read below to find out.

  • Vivo V3 review – More than just a metal body smartphone

Vivo V3 review – More than just a metal body smartphone

These days when you say “metal”, you would expect something that is both refined, and elegant to the touch. You would also expect the pricing to be at the higher end of the scale, as people normally put the lower price brackets with plastic builds that is nasty and cheap. Not the Vivo V3. This is one of the few full-metal body smartphones out there that is elegant to the touch, nice to look at, and nicer to your wallet.

There are catches, but not as many as you would think. Better yet, Vivo has managed to pair the phone with some impressive specs without breaking the bank. How does this all stack up? Let’s find out shall we?
