That being said, Samsung Malaysia Electronics has issued a new statement for Malaysians who have pre-order the phone will definitely get a full refund or exchange to another Samsung device. Today, Samsung Electronics Co. has stopped all production of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 smartphone, but only for temporarily although we don't know for how long. This was officially stated by a supplier for Samsung, as there are still more reports of the Note 7 replacements catching fire.

As Malaysians wait for 29 September 2016 for our Samsung Galaxy Note 7 replacement to begin, Samsung have confirmed certain features that these new "safe" Galaxy Note 7 smartphones will have. First off, it will have a new green battery icon which you can see on the Status Bar, Always On display screen and Power Off prompt screen.
Secondly, your box will have a black square sticker, rather than the earlier reported blue 'S'. Don't worry if you have the black square but don't have the green battery icon, Samsung said they would update it shortly. If you don't have both, best go get it replaced as soon as possible.

According to the folks at Korea Times, Samsung will be sending out a new over-the-air software update that will stop your Samsung Galaxy Note 7 from charging past 60% or 2100 mAh of the full 3500 mAh battery. This may stop it from exploding as reports had the smartphone explode during charging. It should also serve as a more compelling reason to replace your 'unsafe' Galaxy Note 7. Don't wait for it to happen and go get your replacement as soon as possible.

Amidst reports of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 exploding in Jeeps, hotel rooms and in the hands of children, Samsung Malaysia is desperately and urgently imploring that customers here in Malaysia replace their Galaxy Note 7. So far, we've yet to hear of any cases in Malaysia but the full details on how to replace it have already been disclosed complete with an official statement below:
"Our number one priority is the safety of our customers. We are asking users to power down their Galaxy Note7s and exchange them as soon as possible," says DJ Koh, President of Mobile Communications Business, Samsung Electronics. "We are expediting replacement devices so that they can be provided through the exchange program as conveniently as possible and in compliance with related regulations. We sincerely thank our customers for their understanding and patience."

With the recent news of recalling all the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 from Official Samsung Electronics due to some safety issues. Today, Samsung Mobile Malaysia has finally made an official replacement announcement for the Galaxy Note 7. The replacement initiatives in Malaysia will take place from 29th September 2016 onwards with terms and conditions.
