For sharp eyed tech-geeks, some may noticed the drop of battery capacity comparing the Samsung Galaxy S8+ and Galaxy S7 edge. It does seem weird for the downgrade, even though the difference is only 100mAh. But Samsung does have a new 10nm chip to assist the power efficiency. So how good is the battery life?

The official Samsung Exynos twitter recently tweeted a teaser image highlighting Dual ISP (Image Signal Processor) for their Exynos 9 chipset, indicating dual rear cameras. The Exynos 8895 is also part of this chipset and is slated to be used in the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8 Plus (set to be announced near the end of the month). So does that mean that the Galaxy S8 could have surprise dual rear cameras, which so far according to all other leaks has not appeared at all? It might happen, but we're thinking that the Dual ISP and dual cameras would probably be coming for the Galaxy Note 8 as it would help differentiate it from the iris scanner packing Galaxy S8.

2016 was an interesting year for smartphones, the year Huawei introduced their dual Leica camera lens P9 phone, along with Samsung’s critically acclaimed Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, also not forgetting Apple’s “courage” to remove the headphone jack on the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus entirely. This year is another round of exciting devices, so here are the 7 smartphones that we are looking forward to in Malaysia this year (in no particular order).

During the announcement of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 battery issue, the company also at the same time confirmed the Galaxy Note line will be continuing with the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 which is expected to be launched sometime in 2017.

Contrary to reports shared online, it seems that Samsung has no intention of killing off its Note series of smartphones, if the report we saw is true. We will see the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 in 2017, and if the report is right, Samsung Galaxy Note 7 owners will get a big discount on the new model with a special upgrade programme.
