  • Samsung Galaxy S4 I9507 with Snapdragon 600 found on GFXBench

Samsung Galaxy S4 I9507 with Snapdragon 600 found on GFXBench

One would think that after the LTE-A version powered by a Snapdragon 800 processor, there would be enoughSamsung Galaxy S4 versions out there already, but apparently not as another version following the same model number naming convention has been spotted from the GFXBench site. Marked as the I9507 there isn't much information available for it apart from tech specs that state that it uses a Snapdragon 600 chipset with a 1.9GHz processor. It looks to be using the same Adreno 320 GPU as the Samsung Galaxy S4 I9505 but apart from the fact that it is running Android 4.2.2 there isn't any other information. There weren't any details like pricing or availability but it could be either a dual-SIM version of the I9505 or a rebadged I9505 tied to a specific provider. It could also be the still unrevealed Samsung Galaxy S4 Max but we'll find out pretty soon as Samsung usually announces as soon as they can.

There are two other earlier versions with the Samsung Galaxy S4 I9500 powered by Samsung's Exynos 5 Octa and the Samsung Galaxy S4 I9505 powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 600 chipset. While we'd love to see the battery performance, we have seen the overall performance benchmarks in both AnTuTu and Quadrant.

Snapdragon 800 Powered Samsung Galaxy S4 Confirmed

While the confirmation isn't exactly official, a leaked manual for a Snapdragon 800 powered Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone has recently surfaced from Samsung's own download center. This is probably about as close to 'official' confirmation we can get for this smartphone with the model number SHV-E330S. According to tech specs within the manual, the smartphone is using a new Qualcomm MSM8974 chipset with four Krait 400 CPU cores, an Adreno 330 GPU and LTE-Advanced support. While the name hasn't been confirmed yet, all of these specs point towards the rumoured upcoming Samsung Galaxy S4 Plus which has all of the features listed.

  • Samsung Galaxy S4 Gets 5 More Colours

Samsung Galaxy S4 Gets 5 More Colours

While this doesn't really come as a surprise (since it was revealed in one of their music videos) Samsung is now offering the Samsung Galaxy S4 in 5 colours which include:

    • Blue Arctic
    • Purple Mirage
    • Red Aurora
    • Brown Autumn
    • Pink Twilight

The colours were revealed at their Samsung Premiere 2013 event, but you can already see 4 of the colours from their main Samsung site here. No news when exactly these colours will be made available but we're guessing they could be here in Malaysia in a couple of weeks or so, although Samsung usually release their Pink coloured smartphones as limited editions.

  • Samsung Galaxy S4 vs Apple iPhone 5: Total Destruction!

Samsung Galaxy S4 vs Apple iPhone 5: Total Destruction!

While we've seen any number of drop tests between the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the Apple iPhone 5, we've never seen how much punishment each device can actually take. The video below shows just that, putting both smartphones through total destruction tests to see just how tough and durable each smartphone is. The results may surprise you, especially considering that one is made from a supposedly tougher aluminum unibody, while another is mostly premium plastic. Granted, the Samsung Galaxy S4 does have Gorilla Glass 3 but this is only good for screen related tests.

  • Rumours: Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 Powered Samsung Galaxy S4 Appears on AnTuTu?

Rumours: Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 Powered Samsung Galaxy S4 Appears on AnTuTu?

AnTuTu seems to be the new place to find new unannounced phones, as this new benchmark score from the site reveals a Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone that may be using a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. Thanks to the benchmark screenshot, the model number of SHV-E330S was revealed which matches quite closely with the LTE-enabled Samsung Galaxy S4 released solely for Korea. The reason why it could be using the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor is because it is running at 2265MHz, a speed that supposedly only the Snapdragon 800 can achieve without overheating.

Exynos 5 Octa powered Samsung Galaxy S4 I9500 Battery Tests Completed

When Samsung first announced their 8 core Exynos 5 Octa processor we were quite enthusiastic. On one hand, the Exynos 5 Octa has already proven that it is more powerful, however, does it achieve what it initially claimed, as in better power efficiency? Check out the graphs below:
