  • U Mobile lowers No Upfront Samsung Galaxy S5 deal to RM355

U Mobile lowers No Upfront Samsung Galaxy S5 deal to RM355

Previously, U Mobile had bundle deals going on for the Samsung Galaxy S5 with no upfront payment at just RM555 for new Standard Chartered JustOne Platinum card subscribers. However, with the recent RM200 trade-in discount from Samsung Malaysia, U Mobile are now lowering the price to RM355. All of the old conditions remain in place though, so if you want the RM355 No Upfront deal, you will have to successfully get a Standard Chartered JustOne Platinum Card, sign up for a U Plus plan and trade-in your old smartphone. Do note that the trade-in smartphone does add any discount value to the deal like the Samsung Malaysia promo, but according to U Mobile, you can bring in any phone with an IMEI number for the trade-in. In line with the Samsung promo, the extra RM200 trade-in discount is only available until 31 May 2014, so if you fulfill all the conditions and want the Samsung Galaxy S5 at a rock bottom price, then do check out this deal. The existing RM555 discount remains valid until 30 June 2014. For more details check out the table and links in this article.

  • U Mobile details Samsung Galaxy S5 no upfront payment plans

U Mobile details Samsung Galaxy S5 no upfront payment plans

After teasing about their NO Upfront payment offer for the Samsung Galaxy S5, U Mobile have finally revealed their plan bundles for the smartphone. The lowest standard pricing will begin from RM999 but those who sign up for the Standard Chartered JustOne Platinum credit card and the U Plus Plan bundle will get a rebate of RM444, lowering the price to RM555. That promo lasts up to 30 June 2014 and is only applicable after the credit card has been approved (if you don't get approved, you won't get the RM444 rebate) but for the rest of us U Mobile requires a sign up for their U58, U88 and U Plus plans under a 24 month contract. Unfortunately, the NO upfront payment has strings attached as you only qualify for it if you pay using credit card and subscribe to auto debit, while U58 bundle plan users are not eligible at all. • U Mobile teases Samsung Galaxy S5 offer, NO Upfront payment

U Mobile teases Samsung Galaxy S5 offer, NO Upfront payment

While many of the other major Malaysia telcos have already come up with their Samsung Galaxy S5 bundle plans, U Mobile has only just started with a teaser ad. However, the teaser ad from U Mobile offers the Samsung Galaxy S5 with no upfront payment, something which could be tempting for those who just want to pay the subsidized price. In our experience this means that the subsidized price isn't as low as that offered by some of the other telcos but anything lower than the current retail price of RM2399 is a good thing we think. The teaser ad doesn't reveal any other details except that it will be available at U Mobile stores on 25 April 2014 so set that date free on your calendar should you be waiting for a Samsung Galaxy S5 from U Mobile.
