Rumours: Samsung Galaxy S5 and Note 4 cameras to be 8x brighter + better anti-shake

Reports about the next-generation Samsung Galaxy S5 and Samsung Galaxy Note 4 have surfaced recently. Apparently, the camera modules for the two not-even-announced yet smartphones may have camera modules that are 8x brighter than your average camera module today. In addition to this, the camera modules will also have features like anti-shake that can correct an angular error up to 1.5 degrees, which is awesome considering that the current standard is only at 0.7 degrees. Other tech specs and features include the rumour that these camera modules are still going to be 13MP. The brighter sensor should enable better image processing under low-light conditions. While the report doesn't really mention the Galaxy S5 or Note 4, the camera module should be developed within that time frame. No details on pricing or Malaysia release dates but a safe bet would be to say that we'll find out in 2014.

Rumours: Samsung Galaxy S5 getting metal body?

While it isn't the first time rumours about a metal body Samsung device have come out, new rumours have popped up stating that the Samsung Galaxy S5 (and perhaps other Samsung models after it) may get a metal body or chassis. Despite the fact that the Samsung Galaxy S5 will likely be released in 2014 for Malaysia, reports are claiming that Samsung may start production on a metal body Samsung Galaxy S5 by the end of the year. According to these reports a sample has already been produced and is being tested in Vietnam. Other tech specs and features for the S5 include a 16MP camera with OIS. Personally, we think that this is just wishful thinking as Samsung have been rumoured to develop metal clad smartphones before and have always declined in fear that it may delay production. Samsung would more likely go for a kevlar casing or other material before metal and we haven't seen any of those just yet either, so take this rumour with a big pinch of salt.

  • Samsung Shows Off Flexible and Unbreakable Smartphone Screens

Samsung has been rumored to be readying flexible, high-resolution displays for its smartphones, and this week at CES 2013 the South Korean tech giant somewhat confirmed those rumors by showing off several prototypes. Please see the video below.

At its keynote the company announced Youm, a new line of flexible OLED displays. OLED technology allows companies to create thinner and lighter displays that also provide even more vivid images than other HD technologies.
