Samsung Malaysia have just launched the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S6 edge today at RM2599 and RM3099 respectively with said pricing inclusive of the 6% GST but just for the 32GB storage version. Samsung has started from scratch for the two devices, offering a thin and solid yet rounded metal frame for the Galaxy S6 and curved dual-edge side screen for the Galaxy S6 edge. Tech specs and features for the Galaxy S6 include a 64-bit 2.1GHz octa-core Samsung Exynos processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB / 64GB / 128GB storage, 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display with 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution (577 ppi), a 16MP rear camera with f/1.9 aperture and smart OIS, 5MP front camera and 2550 mAh battery. The Galaxy S6 edge on the other hand offers a  64-bit 1.8GHz octa-core Samsung Exynos processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB/64GB/128GB storage, a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display with 2K resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 4, a 16MP f/1.9 aperture rear camera and 5MP front camera. Both will be available on pre-order in Malaysia from 3 April 2015 to 12 April 2015 at www.Samsung.com/my and retail on 17 April 2015. Early-bird buyers may get a free wireless charger but stocks are limited. In addition to the above, the two smartphones also have a personalized pick-up service with free servicing during the warranty period, so if something goes wrong, Samsung will come and pick it up. Featuring a new glass and metal body, the Galaxy S6 features tech specs that include a 64-bit 2.1GHz octa-core Samsung Exynos processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB / 64GB / 128GB storage, 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display with 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution (577 ppi), a 16MP rear camera with f/1.9 aperture and smart OIS, 5MP front camera and 2550 mAh battery. The Galaxy S6 Edge on the other hand is the only smartphone in the world with a dual-edge bended display. Tech specs are equally high-end with a  64-bit 1.8GHz octa-core Samsung Exynos processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB/64GB/128GB storage, a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display with 2K resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 4, a 16MP f/1.9 aperture rear camera and 5MP front camera. Neither offers IPx7 water proofing, but both look simply stunning. No Malaysia pricing details yet, but the Galaxy S6 is expected to cost around $650 (RM2359) while the Galaxy S6 Edge cost $750 (RM2722) or so. Check out all the videos so far in this article.

Samsung is all set to announce its flagship device, the Samsung Galaxy S6 at MWC 2015. The company has already started sending out invites for their Unpacked event. Still, Samsung have yet to show off its upcoming device in pictures and there are a number of rumors and images floating around on the internet claiming to be this revolutionary device. Now, some renders of the Galaxy S6 have come up online showing a glimpse of what the next Samsung flagship could look like. There have been some rumors claiming that the S6 will take its design inspiration from the Apple iPhone 6. For example, a previous leak showed off a chassis with port and speaker placement similar to the Apple's flagship phone. The renders seem to have taken inspiration from these leaks. Hence, the overall design renders of the phone looks a lot more rounded than traditional Galaxy flagships. If rumors are to be believed, then the S6 will reportedly feature a metal body measuring in at 143.52mm x 70.70mm x 7.19mm. The company is also said to be working on swappable back covers for the flagship model, but we are not sure of anything at the moment. MWC is just a few more weeks, so stay tuned. Samsung is going back to its roots to develop the new Samsung Galaxy flagship. The initiative called as 'Project Zero' internally aims to develop a new flagship that stands out from the crowd. However, it looks like the company will be sticking to its usual naming scheme for the upcoming smartphone. SamMobile reports that the next Samsung flagship will be called the Samsung Galaxy S6. They have been right many times in the past few years especially when it comes to Samsung's plans, hence this report could be true. The website further reveals that the company is also planning to launch another variant of the flagship alongside the regular model called the Galaxy S6 edge. Judging from the name, the S6 edge could be curved display variant of the device, just like the Galaxy Note Edge. Expected tech specs of the Galaxy S6 include a 64-bit Exynos 7420 or Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 32/64/128GB storage, quad HD 2560 x 1440 pixel display and a 20MP rear camera. However, it is still early to confirm any of these reports, so make sure you take this news with a pinch of salt.
