News & Reviews: samsung galaxy s7 features
Last Updated: Feb 17, 2016
Normally, official videos and news would come from the main company. But not Samsung Indonesia, in their official YouTube channel they have released a teaser video indicating a new Galaxy model is on the way with the #TheNextGalaxy. But there's just one problem though, the devices shown in the video are the current ones that we have already seen.

Previously it was the black Samsung Galaxy S7 that supposedly got photographed but now the gold version has also been captured, this time with the front as well. While it isn't very clear, it does seem as if the rear camera hump is indeed thinner, if not completely flat. It could just be another dummy or Samsung Galaxy S6, but the curved back does look authentic however do take this with a pinch of salt. No tech specs, pricing details or Malaysia release dates yet, but the Galaxy S7 is expected to get an official reveal on 21 February 2016 in a Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event.

We've seen any number of leaked press images or concept renders for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7 but one of the first pictures of the actual physical device has appeared. Coming courtesy of the folks at Review Dao the leak confirms a thinner camera hump and a sort of curved 2.5D glass back. The rounded metal frame is still there and the only tech spec visible is 32GB worth of storage. Everything else has been blurred out, so nothing has really been confirmed just yet.

Samsung have released a teaser trailer video confirming that there will be a Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2016 event on 21 February 2016. While the teaser does not name names, the hashtag #TheNextGalaxy is a clear indicator of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7 rumoured to come with either a Snapdragon 820 or Exynos processor, 4GB RAM, a 12MP BRITECELL rear camera and other tech specs. The teaser does not show much else except perhaps that the livecast may be watchable via Samsung VR. No confirmed Malaysia release dates or pricing details but we should know more in the coming weeks.

Press-ready images of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge smartphones have appeared, courtesy of serial leaker @evleaks. The renders look press quality indicating that they could be the real thing. It also helps that @evleaks has been fairly accurate before. The renders seem to confirm that the Galaxy S7 edge will have a larger 5.5-inch dual curved display. Other still unconfirmed features include better water resistance, a microSD card slot and either a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 or Exynos 8890 processor. Nothing has been confirmed yet though, not even Malaysia release dates or pricing details, so do take this rumour with a pinch of salt.

Samsung Galaxy S7 rumours has been floating around in the internet for a long time, we probably will never heard the end of it until next month at the MWC 2016 (or not). We got ourselves an interesting image of its benchmark.
As you can see in the image, it seems that the Galaxy S7 chipset could be split again – one will get the Exynos 8890, and the other getting the Snapdragon 820. Overall, the Exynos 8890 is sitting at second place while the latter is on number four. It seems to suggest that the Snapdragon chipset is losing out on the multi-core performance since it's quad core, at the same time it wins the single-core fight – 2282 for the Snapdragon and 1873 for the Exynos chipset.
