2016 was an interesting year for smartphones, the year Huawei introduced their dual Leica camera lens P9 phone, along with Samsung’s critically acclaimed Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, also not forgetting Apple’s “courage” to remove the headphone jack on the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus entirely. This year is another round of exciting devices, so here are the 7 smartphones that we are looking forward to in Malaysia this year (in no particular order).

It might be still early, but words have been flying around that Samsung is planning to put in a 8GB RAM into their upcoming Galaxy S8. It wasn't the first time that we reported about this news, as previously Samsung "said" that they think 6GB RAM is enough so 8GB RAM could be out of the picture. Or is it?

If you think a desktop experience is only for desktop PCs, Microsoft says nay, and have something called Continuum where users will have a desktop-like feel with when the phone is connected to a monitor. Now apparently Samsung is set to feature something similar on the Samsung Galaxy S8 when it is released later – according to leaked slides.

Calling for all Samsung Galaxy Note fans – while the phone that you know of is now dead, you might have a chance to own Galaxy Note 7 alike phone with better specs by first quarter of year 2017. Don’t get us wrong – we are not talking about the China-made lookalike phones, but instead it is the upcoming Galaxy S8 by Samsung. According to a report, the Samsung Galaxy S8 may support the Galaxy Note’s signature S Pen and Samsung would more likely to sell it as extra accessory instead of integrated into the phone.

Apparently the news of the demise of Samsung’s digital assistant may be false after all. A new report suggests that Samsung will be linking its digital assistant, possibly named Bixby, closely with its stable of native apps on the Samsung Galaxy S8

An odd news just came out in regards of the next Samsung Galaxy S8. While the beta builds of Android Nougat has options to select Performance and gaming mode, a new brand protection was filed by Samsung in the European Union for the brand “Beast Mode”.
