Samsung has been collaborating with Barnes & Noble to create Nook tablets with the result being the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 Nook range of tablets. The first Galaxy Tab 4 Nook tablet feature Barnes & Noble Nook software for easy access to the publisher's extensive library of books, magazines and publications. So far, it doesn't seem like there are any changes to the overall design of the tablet apart from the feature Nook software, nor are there any extra tech specs either. The first 7-inch display version is expected to arrive for the US market in August 2014. As such, we expect the pricing to be about RM999 which is how much the original Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 is priced at here in Malaysia. No news on Malaysia release dates or local pricing but we'll keep you posted as to any new developments.

Samsung Mobile has just tweeted an image for their upcoming Samsung Galaxy Premier 2014 with the title "Tab into Color". This hints at a new Galaxy Tab coming soon and with the Galaxy Tab 4 range already well and announced, we're thinking it could be the premium Samsung Galaxy Tab S recently rumoured to appear. Estimated tech specs for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S include an 8.4-inch display version and a 10.5-inch display version with both displays being AMOLED type screens offering 2K or 2560 x 1600 pixel resolutions. This could point to the hint which says "Tab into Color" as AMOLED screens do tend to have more vibrant colours. Other features that could appear include a built-in fingerprint scanner, Samsung Exynos 5420 processor, hexa-core Mali T628 graphics, 3GB LPDDR3e RAM, 8MP rear camera and 2.1MP front camera. Many are also thinking that other devices could also be showcased as well but it feels a little too early for the Galaxy Note 4 still. Stay tuned for more developments.

Samsung Malaysia recently released their latest Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 and Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 tablets for the Malaysian market. According to Samsung, the new Galaxy Tab 4 tablets are slimmer and thinner with textured back covers for a more premium look and feel. Both are available in black and white and come with Android 4.4 KitKat, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 will be priced for RM999 the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 will be priced at RM1499. Confirming their new Samsung Galaxy Tab refresh is the recent announcement of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 range of tablets. This includes the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 and Galaxy Tab 4 10.1. The overall design has not changed, except perhaps for a slightly more rounded look.
