Today, Samsung Malaysia is excited to announce that the foldable Galaxy Z Flip is now available across the nation. But due to the Movement Restriction Order, the purchase can only be made online starting from now onwards on selected Samsung Authorized Partners. 

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is coming to Malaysia and pre-orders have been extended from today until 22 March 2020 at the price of RM5888. So this new foldable smartphone could be the future and it can replace the traditional large display smartphone. Can it really do that?

Prior to the unveiling, there were some rumours here and there about the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip.  We were curious, they were excited, then when Samsung introduced the Galaxy Z Flip in February for the first time, the media went nuts. Like, really nuts to the point that most of the media were more interested in this one device at the experience zone. Oh my, it was and still is truly a beauty. 

To those who have been waiting for it, the wait is over! Samsung Malaysia has announced that the Galaxy Z Flip is coming to Malaysia and it's now available for pre-orders starting from 10 am to 10 pm today. You'll be able to book your own Samsung foldable flip phone for RM5888.

Not too long ago, Samsung unveiled the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip smartphone on 14 February 2020 at the price of USD1380(~RM5706) which features a foldable display with Ultra Thin Glass. To ensure that customers are satisfied, the aforementioned device goes through rigorous testing before it gets shipped out to the public.

Based on Samsung’s official website, it costs about USD499(~RM2072) to repair the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip’s foldable display when damaged. However, if the aforementioned foldable smartphone was purchased before 31 December 2020, you will be eligible for a one-time special screen replacement which is worth USD119(~RM494).

We shouldn't always take what we're told at face value, as the latest news on the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip demonstrates. In a durability test conducted independently, it was found that the foldable screen for the Z Flip isn't all that durable and may not be glass as many have been led to believe.

Based on a report by cnet.com, it seems that Samsung has stated that their new Samsung Galaxy Z Flip foldable display smartphone is more than capable of withstanding up to 200000 folds without exhibiting any issues. This is quite an improvement due to the fact that the Samsung Galaxy Fold could only last up to around 120000 fold before breaking.

Other than the unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy S20 series, Samsung also officially unveiled the Galaxy Z Flip which is Samsung's second foldable display smartphone to date. In terms of the availability date and pricing, the aforementioned smartphone is expected to be available purchase from 14 February 2020 at USD1380(~RM5706) in the US.

There's always someone out there who loves the fancy stuff and Samsung wants to cater to them. In a new leak, it was revealed that Samsung could have a Galaxy Z Flip Thome Browne Edition. This is essentially a bundle that will include the phone and a few goodies.
