Rumours: Samsung Galaxy Note 4 tech specs leaked?

Rumours about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 4 phablet have been few and far in between, until now as new rumours have leaked showing off some rather high-end tech specs. Coming courtesy of SamMobile, who have been quite accurate where Samsung stuff are related, the rumours say that the Galaxy Note 4 will come in two versions, one running a Qualcomm snapdragon 805 processor while the other will use a Samsung Exynos 5433 processor. Other notable tech specs include an AMOLED display with 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution. No news on what size the display could be but we're guessing around 5.5-inches or so. The Galaxy Note 4 may also have a 16MP rear camera with optical image stabilization and a 2MP front camera. It could also have a UV sensor for better auto-brightness adjustments. No news on Malaysia release dates or pricing but stay tuned and we'll keep you updated.

4G LTE capable Samsung Galaxy Core lite officially announced for under RM1000

It seems the race is on for more affordable 4G LTE devices as Samsung have officially announced the Galaxy Core Lite for just TWD7990 (RM853). • Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 LTE version already listed on SIRIM database

Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 LTE version already listed on SIRIM database

The SIRIM Database is quickly becoming the listing to go to, to confirm whether some device is coming or not to Malaysia. Well, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 (which has yet to be officially announced yet) has apparently made it on the SIRIM database. The tablet uses the model number SM-T805 and according to the SIRIM database will support both WiFi and 4G LTE in Malaysia. While this didn't confirm any of the other tech specs, like an octa-core Samsung Exynos processor or 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution display but the listing does mean we could see the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 as soon as it gets announced on 12 June 2014.

  • Samsung teases Galaxy Premiere event on 12 June 2014, probably for next Galaxy Tab S

Samsung teases Galaxy Premiere event on 12 June 2014, probably for next Galaxy Tab S

Samsung recently sent out video teasers for it's upcoming Samsung Galaxy Premiere 2014 event. Set to be held at Madison Square Garden on 12 June 2014, it is expected to be the place where Samsung will reveal it's latest Samsung Galaxy Tab S range, partly because of the line "Tab into Color" that comes up during the teaser video. Tech specs for the range includes a 2K display with 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution for 8.4-inch and 10.5-inch AMOLED screens. Other notable tech specs estimated to come with the tablets include octa-core Samsung Exynos processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB storage, an 8MP rear camera, 2.1MP front camera and Android 4.4.2. We're guessing that these tabs will also come in a number of color options, unless of course the teaser line is referring to the AMOLED screens. No news on Malaysia pricing or release dates yet but stay tuned and we'll keep you posted.

Rumours: Samsung Galaxy F leaked pics appear with brushed metal backside

There have been rumours of a metal-backed premium smarpthone from Samsung since forever, but new pics that have leaked online show that this may not be a rumour for much longer. Called the Samsung Galaxy F, the pics show a shape similar to the Samsung Galaxy S5 but sporting a black brushed metal backside, much like that of the LG G3. Other features include a heart rate monitor, fingerprint sensor and a 5.3-inch display with 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution. Other tech specs include a Snapdragon 805 processor, 16MP rear camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). No news yet on pricing but it is expected around September, around the same time as the Apple iPhone 6. Hopefully Samsung does not run into any supply problems as is often the case with new metal body smartphones.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 Nook tablet officially announced, coming around August 2014

Samsung has been collaborating with Barnes & Noble to create Nook tablets with the result being the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 Nook range of tablets. The first Galaxy Tab 4 Nook tablet feature Barnes & Noble Nook software for easy access to the publisher's extensive library of books, magazines and publications. So far, it doesn't seem like there are any changes to the overall design of the tablet apart from the feature Nook software, nor are there any extra tech specs either. The first 7-inch display version is expected to arrive for the US market in August 2014. As such, we expect the pricing to be about RM999 which is how much the original Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 is priced at here in Malaysia. • Rumours: Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and 10.5 official images leaked?

Rumours: Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and 10.5 official images leaked?

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 tablets have recently been leaked by serial leaker @evleaks. The images look official and show off the new sized tablets nicely. While there aren't any tech specs or features available, the tablets look very thin and sleek while also adopting the same perforated backside, fingerprint scanner and ultra-power saving mode as the Samsung Galaxy S5. There are also 2 round mounts on the backside which we think is for an automatic or interactive flip cover or stand later on. No news on Malaysia release dates or pricing yet, but we should find out soon so stay tuned.

  • Samsung Galaxy S5 Active officially announced for AT&T in US

Samsung Galaxy S5 Active officially announced for AT&T in US

The Samsung Galaxy S5 Active has been officially announced for the AT&T telco in the US. While it does look different from the Samsung Galaxy S5 with it's rugged looking backside and physical buttons below the touchscreen display, it turns out that it carries the same IP67 water and dust resistance certification as the Galaxy S5. Tech specs and features for the Samsung Galaxy S5 active include a 2.5GHz quad-core processor, 2GB RAM, 11GB storage, 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display with 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution, 16MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, 2800 mAh battery and Android 4.4.2. While there is a military theme going on, we can't confirm that it actually has military grade shock proofing and since it is made for AT&T there's practically no hope that we'll see it appear in Malaysia any time soon.
