Finally, Samsung Malaysia have officially announced the availability of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 phablet for Malaysian consumers. In a launch event held today, Samsung Malaysia are offering the 4G version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 LTE and will be available in the market from 25 September 2013. This Samsung Galaxy Note 3 LTE will be priced from RM2399 but will not have a combo deal with the Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch priced RM999. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will be available in three colours, Jet Black, Blush Pink and Classic White. Samsung leave the option to the local telco instead. So you might need to crap the FREE Galaxy Gear chance fast when you signing up with the telco.

Rumours have cropped up in Taiwan that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note III phablet may be going on pre-order just 12 days after it's announcement. We've all "Noted" the Samsung Unpacked 2 event slated for 4 September 2013, but according to these rumours, the phablet is likely to go on pre-order on 16 September 2013, with sales expected to begin on or after 27 September 2013. This rumour comes because the Note III was earlier said to "ship" in September which may indicate that it could be available in Malaysia and other countries sooner than expected. No real definite release dates in Malaysia just yet though but with the announcement just next week, it shouldn't be long now. As a refresher, the Note III is expected to offer tech specs which include 3GB of RAM, 4K video recording capabilities and a 5.68-inch Full HD 1080p display screen.

Well, after reporting about the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Kids tablet that came out in South Korean brochures, Samsung have seen fit to officially announce the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Kids tablet. Coloured pastel yellow and coming with an orange casing for easier grip (and hopefully some shock proofing) the tablet is aimed at children as it comes preloaded with educational games, apps and e-book readers. Hopefully they aren't all demos but in terms of tech specs the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Kids offers:

• 1.2GHz dual-core processor
• 1GB RAM
• 8GB storage + up to 32GB microSD
• 7-inch TFT display (1024 x 600)
• 3MP rear camera + 1.3MP front camera
• 4000 mAh battery
• supports WiFi + Bluetooth 3.0 + USB 2.0 + C Pen stylus
• Android 4.1

While we've been speculating a lot about the Samsung Galaxy Gear, Samsung's upcoming smartwatch, a Samsung VP recently confirmed that it would be coming on 4 September 2013. This comes courtesy of Lee Young-hee, Samsung Mobile VP who confirmed that it would make an appearance, perhaps at the Samsung Unpacked 2 event on the same date. If or when that happens, it would likely be revealed alongside the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 which is rumoured to be revealed at the same event. He also confirmed that it won't have a flexible screen, going on to say that the Samsung Galaxy Gear will be a:

"wearable concept device" and is "confident that the Gear will add meaningful momentum to the mobile industry"

When it first came out in 2012 the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 seemed more like a budget version compared to the tablets that came after the first Samsung Galaxy Tab. Today, it probably fits the entry-level to mid-range gap just as well as when it was first introduced, but with so many other budget tablet contenders, is it right for your needs and pocket? With just about two more weeks before the Samsung Unpacked 2 event (where the Samsung Galaxy Gear is probably going to be announced), and we have some more rumours coming out about the Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch. This time around the rumours indicate that we may now get the smartwatch in black, grey, orange, white and now white gold which is probably going to be released after the other 4 colours. The leak comes courtesy of SamMobile who are usually quite accurate about most things Samsung related but as always do take it with a pinch of salt. In all likelihood, the Samsung Galaxy Gear may come in a lot more colours than just 5 but this is the colour list we have for now. As a refresher, the Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch is expected to be revealed on 4 September at the IFA 2013 with sales release dates expected in September to October of 2013. Again no news on pricing or availability in Malaysia just yet, but we'll keep you updated.

All eyes are on Samsung to deliver a better smartwatch than the ones already in the market, especially as Apple is having problems with the iWatch. Quite a lot of rumoured tech specs have been circulating recently for the Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch which includes:

• 1.5GHz dual-core Samsung Exynos 5412 processor / 1.5Ghz dual-core Exynos 4212 processor
• 1GB RAM
• 1.67-inch AMOLED display (320 x 320 pixels) / 2.5-inch OLED display (320 x 320 pixels) / 3.5-inch display
• 2MP Camera
• Supports Bluetooth 4.0 LE + NFC + speaker + mic
• Android 4.1 / Android 4.2

It almost seems like deja vu as information surfaces about Malaysia getting both Exynos and Snapdragon 800 powered versions of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note III phablet. Coming from the same source that said we'd get the Exynos Octa and Snapdragon 600 powered versions of the Samsung Galaxy S4, the site has released a country list for the various versions of the phablet. As mentioned earlier, Malaysia is listed as getting the SM-N900 and the SM-N9005.

One would think that after the LTE-A version powered by a Snapdragon 800 processor, there would be enoughSamsung Galaxy S4 versions out there already, but apparently not as another version following the same model number naming convention has been spotted from the GFXBench site. Marked as the I9507 there isn't much information available for it apart from tech specs that state that it uses a Snapdragon 600 chipset with a 1.9GHz processor. It looks to be using the same Adreno 320 GPU as the Samsung Galaxy S4 I9505 but apart from the fact that it is running Android 4.2.2 there isn't any other information. There weren't any details like pricing or availability but it could be either a dual-SIM version of the I9505 or a rebadged I9505 tied to a specific provider. It could also be the still unrevealed Samsung Galaxy S4 Max but we'll find out pretty soon as Samsung usually announces as soon as they can.

After recently clearing DLNA certification, make no mistake that the Samsung Galaxy Note III is coming and coming soon. However, this hasn't stopped speculation as to tech specs about the upcoming phablet under the model name of SM-N900S which include:

• Android 4.3 - confirmed due to DLNA certification
