The collaboration between CelcomDigi, U Mobile and ZTE Corporation has been recognised by the Malaysia Book of Records for achieving the fastest mobile speed of 30.8 Gbps with 5G-Advanced (5G-A) during a live trial conducted in Kuching, Sarawak. This feat is the fastest-recorded speed in the world, while the individual user speed also recorded a new benchmark, which is speeds of up to 8.5Gbps.

In October last year, we shared how the Sarawak State Government, through Hornbill Skyways Sdn Bhd, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) to acquire MASWings Sdn Bhd for the proposed Sarawak-owned boutique airline. Now, Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Abang Openg has given an update on the proposal, revealing that the airline is expected to take off in 2025.
